LAS VEGAS (KSNV & MyNews3) -- A woman who was struck by tragedy twice now faces yet another heart-wrenching hardship.

Someone stole her puppy and now she's turning to News 3 for help. News 3’s Marissa Mike has Carlene McKillop’s emotional story.

McKillop is the last person who should be dealing with loss. She’s already seen her share of tragedies.

“My daughter passed away in November and my husband died in December,” McKillop said. "It's just hard to keep losing things you love."

The Alaska native moved to Las Vegas, to get a fresh start just a few months ago.

She adopted Bella when she got here.

“When she was a puppy she could fit in my hand,” she said.

That Shih Tzu brought happiness McKillop thought she'd never know again.

“Once I got her I didn't realize I was taking the meds anymore. She brought everything together for me,” McKillop said.

Then the wind was taken out of her sails. McKillop left Bella on the leash in the front yard for just a few minutes. When she returned, Bella was gone.

“I really need her back. I miss her,” she said.

She's put up signs and posted an ad on Craigslist. She's responded to tips and still nothing. Despite setbacks, McKillop has not lost hope on the only family she has in Las Vegas.

“Bella had unconditional love for me i can't give up on her. What kind of mom would give up on their child,” McKillop said.

In less than a week, McKillop's precious pup will be 6-months-old.

“I just want to go find her,” She said.

If she can't, she's got a message for whoever has her dog.

“Please bring her back,” she says.

She's hoping anyone who knows anything about the disappearance of her Shih Tzu will call police.

Because McKillop says life will not be the same without her Bella.

“She means everything to me,” McKillop said.

Mckillop says her pup does not have a microchip. Her dog was stolen on Saturday, she had planned to get the procedure done the following Wednesday.
