Woman steals taxi, hits cab driver, ditches cab, steals 2nd auto

LAS VEGAS -- Police are investigating a carjacking that led to a cab driver injured by a stolen taxi.

According to Metro, a woman at 2:55 p.m. carjacked a taxi cab and soon-after struck the cab driver at Decatur Boulevard and Rancho Drive.

Police said a woman passenger was in cab headed to the downtown area. The female fare got into a verbal disagreement with the cab driver who exited the cab at Decatur Boulevard and Rancho Drive.

The woman then jumps into the driver's seat of the taxi and attempts to run the driver over with the taxi.

The cab driver is hit by the tax and was taken to University Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

The woman crashed the cab at Cheyenne Avenue and Jones Boulevard. She exited the cab and stopped a Chevy Aveo and steals that car. The woman has not been located since stealing the second vehicle.
