Woman wanted in fatal shooting over dice game returned from Utah

LAS VEGAS (KSNV -- A woman wanted for a fatal shooting in early August has been returned from northern Utah where she was arrested two weeks ago.

Anishya Douglas, 21, was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on Friday after being extradited from Ogden, Utah. She was apprehended in the city some 500 miles from Las Vegas on Aug. 14 and was being held in the Weber County Detention Center.

Douglas is charged with open murder, burglary, attempted theft and domestic battery in the shooting death of Christopher Jones Jr. of Las Vegas on Aug. 6.

The shooting was reported as the result of a fight over a dice game. Jones was shot in an apartment on North Marion Drive near Nellis Boulevard and Owens Avenue in northeast Las Vegas.

Douglas is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
