LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) – A trial date has been set for the former lawmaker whose series of arrests and bizarre behavior led to his expulsion from the Nevada Assembly last year.
Steven Brooks, who recently completed his sentence in California stemming from an altercation with local police, is facing a charge here of illegally possessing a firearm. This stems from a 2013 arrest where Brooks threatened Speaker Marilyn Kirkpatrick.
Brooks entered a not guilty plea this morning at the Regional Justice Center. His trial is set for Oct. 2.
