First Tuesday event to help citizens prepare for disaster

LAS VEGAS (KSNV – Tonight, Metro’s Emergency Management will give residents information about the top hazards Las Vegans face in honor of Disaster Preparedness Month for its First Tuesday event.

Representatives will be on hand to discuss the importance of being prepared in any disaster, whether manmade, natural, or technological. Take the time to make sure that you and your loved ones are prepared.

First Tuesday is an open house program that takes place on the first Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m. at LVMPD area commands. Everyone is welcome to attend.

After discussing the assigned topic, citizens will be able to learn more about their neighborhood and meet their local police officers.
