LAS VEGAS (KSNV -- The attorney representing one of the owners of the local pet store where 27 dogs were rescued from a fire is demanding the dogs be released immediately.

The dogs are being housed at the Lied Animal Shelter, but Donald Thompson, the co-owner of the Prince & Princess Pet Store, wants to make sure the dogs are adopted to loving homes and sent to A Home 4 Spot.

Jacob Hafter, Thompson’s attorney, has already stopped The Animal Foundation’s attempt to raffle off the dogs.

A Home 4 Spot provides pre-vetted homes for dogs.

Gloria Lee and Kirk Bills are each facing 31 counts in connection to a fire at the store Jan. 27.
