LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) – Local entertainer Frank Marino makes his living impersonating Joan Rivers and dedicated his show Thursday night to the legendary comedienne, who died Thursday at 81.
“Every night with respect, I keep her light shining with honor now that she's gone,” Marino said in an exclusive interview backstage with News 3.
“And here we are for Joan. May she rest in peace. This one is for you, Joan.”
Rivers' relationship with Marino was similar to many others in her life. They started as friends, had a rocky period, then became very close.
“Divas Las Vegas” at The Quad makes a business out of featuring powerful women. Marino says Joan reigned in that category. He will keep the show going.
