LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) — Brazyl Ward, the local girl who was nearly killed in a hit and run crash on Halloween, continues her recovery. And her family shared her latest progress on Facebook.
The new video shows the 7-year old walking with the help of her new "gait trainer" at a local rehab facility.
The ward family says recovery is slow but steady. They hope Brazyl will walk on her own and be able to attend school again by December.
In the meantime, the Ward family has partnered with UMC Hospital. The Ward family is using Brazyl’s story to help support the Children’s Hospital of Nevada within the facility and help with injury prevention.
People can purchase a $5 product from the Kohl’s Cares Collection, and all of the proceeds go directly to injury prevention events in the community.
