LAS VEGAS (KSNV — When police were called to help rescue a local woman allegedly beaten by the man known as "War Machine," those who placed the calls say they were hung up on.

Neighbors say too much time passed between repeated calls for help and when police got to their neighborhood.

They are now wondering if that was enough time for Jonathan Koppenhaver, better known as "War Machine," to make a successful getaway after he is accused of beating Christy Mack.

One neighbor said Mack came running to their door naked and looking for help.

The family says they called the cops multiple times but were hung up on and that it took 15 to 20 minutes for police to show up.

Koppenhaver has a history of violence, with videos to prove it

As police continue their manhunt, Duane Chapman, better known as “Dog the Bounty Hunter,” has joined in on the search and promises to catch him.

"We’ve got traps set everywhere,” Chapman said during an interview with Las Vegas radio station KXNT on Wednesday. “Now, if he stays in a house and doesn’t come out for 90 days, doesn’t eat or drink, and dies of starvation and malnutrition, then that’s up to him. But that’s the only way, right now, he can get away from us.”

Koppenhaver is believed to be in San Diego. If you have any information that could help lead to his capture, call Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555.
