Suspect in pet store fire returns to Las Vegas court

LAS VEGAS (KSNV – The woman accused of setting her pet store on fire was back in court this morning at the Regional Justice Center.

Gloria Lee, 35, is facing charges of arson with intent to defraud insurer, insurance fraud, attempted theft, arson, burglary and 27 counts of attempted cruelty to animals. It was the first time Lee was court since being released on bail from the Clark County Detention Center.

Lee is on house arrest, being monitored with an electronic bracelet. She also surrendered her passport.

Lee was arrested Jan. 29, two days after an early morning fire at the Prince and Princess Puppy Boutique in the 6800 block of South Rainbow Boulevard.

Firefighters were able to rescue all 27 puppies from the store. The dogs later were raffled for adoption.

Also is court was alleged accomplice Kirk Bills, who remains in custody.
