Police: Victim dragged for mile near Desert Inn, Swenson

LAS VEGAS (KSNV – A pedestrian was dragged for more than a mile this morning by a vehicle near East Desert Inn Road and Swenson Street.

According to Metro, the incident started at Nevada Bank on Desert Inn and Maryland. The driver, 51-year-old Sandra Russell, ran over the victim at around 3:30 a.m.. She then headed down Maryland to Sierra Vista and made five right turns.

The victim has been identified as 22-year-old Citez Harvell of Las Vegas. 

Russell, driving a 2013 Dodge Avenger,  finally stopped near a 7-Eleven and heard the victim scream. Officers say Russell then called police.

According to police, Harvell may have been lying down in the parking lot when he was hit by the Dodge Avenger. 

The victim is at UMC Trauma in very critical condition with severe injuries.

Russell remained at the scene and did not show any signs of alcohol or drug impairment, according to the police report.
