NORTH LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) – Shots rang out at a business in North Las Vegas Friday morning, leaving one man dead and police with a homicide to solve.
"It was reported that is was initially a verbal altercation, that led to this shooting prior to officer's arrival," said Sgt. Chrissie Coon.
It happened around 9 a.m. Friday inside an electrical contractor business near Cheyenne and Revere.
Witnesses told police the 47-year-old man who was shot came into the business upset with a 43-year-old acquaintance who works there. Then, a fight broke out and police say another man pulled out a gun.
"There were mulitiple occupants inside the business at the time the shooting occured.
So detectives right now are sorting through what their role in the situation was. Were they a witness? Were they a participant? Were they involved in the altercation? Again, there are a lot of unanswered questions that detectives are trying to sort through," Coon said.
No arrest has been made yet. The coroner has not released the identity of the man who was shot. The 43-year-old involved in the fight has some minor injuries, but did not go to the hospital.
