LAS VEGAS (KSNV – Police continue their manhunt for a mixed martial artist competitor they say beat his girlfriend severely, putting her in the hospital.

Jonathan Koppenhaver, also known as "War Machine," is accused of beating Christy Mack at a home near Eastern and Desert Inn.

She is in the hospital with a ruptured liver, missing teeth, and at least 20 broken bones.

Koppenhaver has a history of violence in the justice system.

Court documents show he severely injured a man outside a night club and was accused of strangulation and domestic battery of a former girlfriend.

On the run, Koppenhaver is tweeting to his fans. One post said Mack is his property and always will be.

Speaking exclusively with News 3, Mack's mother said she was scared that her daughter was dead. “The rage inside of me will not go away for a long time,” she said. “No man should beat a woman – never, never.”

This case has gained national attention, with "Dog the Bounty Hunter" tweeting that he will personally be searching for Koppenhaver.
