LAS VEGAS -- The National Weather Service in Las Vegas has issued a flood advisory for minor flooding of urban areas in central Clark County in southern Nevada until 7:15 p.m.

Since about 4 p.m. strong thunderstorms have continued to drop heavy rainfall across the southern and southeastern Las Vegas valley.

Additional rainfall will result in ponding of water on roads, underpasses, other low lying areas and flowing water in normally dry washes.

Locations impacted include Henderson, Lake Las Vegas, Las Vegas Bay, Sam Boyd Stadium, Las Vegas Bay Campground, east Las Vegas, Green Valley and Windmill and Green Valley Parkway.

Never drive into areas where water covers the road or enter a flood

Report flooded roads to the Las Vegas National Weather service through Facebook or Twitter.
