LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) -- A local couple's bizarre agreement lands the man in jail, accused in the death of his girlfriend.
Metro says Edward Edgerton, 26, admitted to punishing his girlfriend before he found her unconscious on Saturday at an apartment on Nellis near Vegas Valley Drive.
Edgerton says he forced his girlfriend, Tyanna Reynolds, to write down her recent contacts with her ex-boyfriend, then made her stand in the corner and read aloud what she had written.
Police say Edgerton admitted to spanking her for messing up, hitting her exposed bottom 15 to 20 times with a belt.
According to an arrest report, that was their agreement: if one of them “messed up,” the other would do the disciplining by spanking the other with a belt.
Reynolds told Edgerton she couldn't breathe. A little later, she got up to take a shower, and that's where he says he found her unconscious.
Reynolds was taken to Sunrise Hospital, where she later died.
