LAS VEGAS -- Metro police found two people dead inside a home on the 5600 block of Thunder Spirit Street in Southwest Las Vegas while conducting a welfare check of the occupants.

Family members called polce and reported they were unable to contact occupants of the residence. Shortly after officers arrived they were able to gain access and found a male and female dead from apparent gunshots.

The preliminary investigation conducted by Metro homicide detectives indicates the victims were married, however they had been experiencing recent relationship problems and were currently separated.

The investigation further revealed the male victim had gone to the female’s residence to discuss their domestic situation. Evidence at the scene suggests the male victim shot the female and then shot himself.
