NORTH LAS VEGAS -- Metro detectives are seeking public assistance in locating a suspicious van and identifying the occupants.

Officers responded on Wednesday, December 18 at about 8 a.m., to Von Tobel Middle School where a student reported she was approached by two Hispanic men in a minivan on her way to school.

The 12-year-old girl was reportedly walking to school in the 2900 block of North Las Vegas Boulevard (near North Las Vegas Boulevard and Pecos Road) when a maroon Chevrolet van approached her.

The side door slid open and a Hispanic man, about 30-years-old, ordered her to get in the van.

The girl reported seeing two teenage girls inside the van and a Hispanic male driver.

The girl ran away toward her school where she notified police.

A nearby convenience store caught surveillance video of the van before and after the incident.

Anyone with information in this case is urged to call the North Las Vegas Police Department at (702) 633-9111 or to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555 or visit Crime Stoppers.
