Suspect indicted in series of crimes that ended with standoff

LAS VEGAS (KSNV – The Clark County grand jury indicted a man  this morning suspected of a home invasion that sparked a hostage situation near Lake Mead and Buffalo in late February.

Sean Paul Cordeiro, 33, faces 47 counts, including burglary, sexual assault, kidnapping and grand larceny. Police say Cordeiro was suspected in a series of crimes beginning Feb. 1 and concluding with the hostage situation involving a woman and three children.

Bail was set at $750,000. His next court appearance is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. March 27.

Also indicted today were Gabriel Alcala, 32, and Jason Manuel Reyes on several counts of trafficking in a controlled substance and conspiracy to violate the Uniform Controlled Substances Act.

Judge Linda Bell issued $100,000 bail each for Alcala and Reyes, and their next court appearance is scheduled for 9 a.m. March 27.
