Second suspect in pet store arson case indicted

LAS VEGAS (KSNV – The Clark County grand jury this morning indicted the man suspected of assisting in a pet shop fire that endangered 27 dogs.

Kirk Bills, 27, faces 31 criminal counts, including arson, burglary and 27 counts of attempted cruelty to animals, in relation to the Jan. 27 fire at Prince & Pricess Puppy Boutique. The indictment also includes suspect Gloria Lee, 35.

Bail for Bills is set at $310,000. He returns to court at 8:15 a.m. March 12.

Also indicted today were:

Randy James Roberts, 56, on 30 counts of theft. His bail was set at $2.1 million, and his next court appearance is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. March 13.

Donald Jerry Mote Jr., on one count each of conspiracy to commit burglary; burglary; and invasion of the home. He will face a hearing at 8:15 a.m. March 20.

Aaron Anthony Cobos, on two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance; and one counts of transport of a controlled substance. His next court appearance is set for 9 a.m. March 19.
