Indictment adds fraud count against pet store fire suspect

LAS VEGAS (KSNV – The Clark County grand jury added three indictments against one of the suspects in a pet store fire in January that endangered 27 puppies.

Gloria Lee, 35, faces additional charges of arson with intent to defraud insurer, insurance fraud, and attempted theft. Lee and Kirk Bills, 27, already face 31 criminal counts, including arson, burglary and 27 counts of attempted cruelty to animals, in relation to the Jan. 27 fire at Prince & Princess Pet Store.

Bail was set at $340,000 for Lee; the $310,000 bail for Bills remains in effect. Both are scheduled to return to court at 8:15 a.m. April 16.

Also indicted today were:

Joey Kadmiri, 24, on 16 charges, including attempted murder, in relation to an attempted theft March 19 at the Excalibur in the Thunder From Down Under locker room. Bail remains at $500,000, and Kadmiri will return to court at 8:30 a.m. April 17.

Regina Genoveba Owen, Joshua Ephraim Jones, Donna Hobson, Robert Covington and Leonard Goldberg, on charges related to unemployment insurance fraud.
