LAS VEGAS (KSNV – The Clark County grand jury indicted two people this morning suspected to be involved in a catalytic converter theft ring.

Michael Sbraccia, 43, and Dawn Yon, 21, both of Las Vegas, each face 18 counts each of grand larceny and possession of stolen property; and two counts each of attempted grand larceny and attempt possession of stolen property.

Sbraccia and Yon were among seven arrested Aug. 19 in connection to a catalytic converter theft ring. The district attorney’s office said the defendants are suspected of committing crimes on the East Coast when they were out on bail. Judge Linda Bell ruled that they could be held without bail.

Their next hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. March 6.

Also indicted today was Alen Kareyan, who is facing four counts of assault with a deadly weapon; and one count each of burglary while in possession of a firearm; attempted murder; and battery with use of a deadly weapon.

Kareyan is the suspect of an attack at a bar on New Year’s Day. He had been out on $100,000 bail. His next hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. March 5, where the district attorney’s office plans to seek additional bail.
