LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) – Three people were indicted this morning by a Clark County grand jury in relation to the death of a man whose handcuffed body was found in April near Pecos and Owens.
Eric Orduna, Jonathan Anthony Reyes and Amber Montoya faces charges of murder with use of a deadly weapon, conspiracy to commit murder, robbery with use of a deadly weapon, first-degree kidnapping and conspiracy to commit kidnapping.
According to an arrest warrant from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Orduna and Reyes had beaten Abraham Mathews with bricks from a fire place, their fists and a broom stick before his death; then transported and dumped his body in the 1600 block of Sandy Lane. Montoya is accused of luring Mathews to where Orduna and Reyes were waiting for him, and acting as a lookout, according to the indictment.
The three are being held without bond. Their next court appearance will be at 8:30 a.m. Aug. 8.
Also indicted were:
• Steven Martin Shaw, Chad Gary Kruger and Michael Joseph Hughes on felony counts of insurance fraud committed to promote gang activities; theft committed to promote gang activities; and a misdemeanor conspiracy charge.
• Warren Debiew on four felony counts of sale of a controlled substance; and one count each of possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and possession of a controlled substance (marijuana).
• Michael Headley on a felony count of unlawful possession of an electronic stun gun device.
