Henderson police seek suspect in department store theft

HENDERSON – Henderson Police are seeking the public’s help to identify a woman who robbed the customer service counter of a Henderson department store Saturday.

The suspect entered the Dillard’s store, 1320 W. Sunset Road in the Galleria at Sunset mall, at about noon Saturday. She went to the customer service desk with a shoe box which contained a note demanding money from the cashier.

The cashier complied with the demand and gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect then left with the money in the shoe box and walked out of the store. She was seen entering a two-door silver car, possibly a Nissan.

No weapons were seen during the robbery and no one was injured.

The suspect is described as a black woman, about 5-feet-10, weighing about 200 pounds. She was last seen wearing a brown shirt, jeans and a white baseball hat with a red bill.
