LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) – A suspect has been arrested in the deadly shooting June 20 at an apartment complex near Sahara and Mojave.
Kareem Wilkes, 34, is facing 17 charges, including one count of murder with a deadly weapon; three counts of attempted murder with a deadly weapon; three counts of conspiracy to commit murder; seven counts of discharge firearm into a structure.
He is accused of shooting and killing Michael McCarthy, 54, and wounding two women in the 2600 block of Heritage Court.
According to a Metro arrest warrant, two gunmen walked to an apartment and were allowed in after breaking a window. They told the people inside that they were looking for a person nicknamed “Money.” When they were told that the individual was not there, they opened fire.
Wilkes was booked Tuesday into the Clark County Detention Center.
