Metro Homicide detectives are seeking the public’s assistance identifying and locating three men in connection with a June 26 shooting that led to one man’s death.
According to a news release, patrol officers responded around 5:10 a.m. June 26 to the 2300 block of West Bonanza Road to investigate reports of a shooting in the parking lot.
Arriving officers located one male victim suffering an apparent gunshot wound. That victim was transported to the UMC Trauma Center with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries. Officers also found a second male victim inside of a vehicle in the parking lot suffering apparent multiple gunshot wounds. That victim also was sent to UMC Trauma, where he was pronounced dead.
The investigation initiated by detectives indicated both victims had been involved in a physical altercation in the same location earlier that morning. The victims left the area but returned. A verbal altercation between the victims and the suspects took place in the parking lot just before the shooting.
One suspect is described as a tall, thin black male in his early 20s last seen wearing a white, short-sleeved button-up shirt with red stitching worn over a red long sleeved T-shirt, red shorts and red shoes.
Another is described as a tall black male, 20 to 25 years old, last seen wearing a white, short-sleeved polo-style shirt with pockets on both sides of the chest, and blue jeans.
The third suspect is described as a black male adult last seen wearing a light-colored, long-sleeved button-up shirt, blue jeans, and a baseball cap worn backwards.
