LAS VEGAS (KSNV – A Las Vegas man has pleaded guilty to one count of sex trafficking in connection with his sex trafficking of a 16-year-old girl in the first sex trafficking case prosecuted after passage and implementation of Assembly Bill 67, which took effect July 1.

Ian Lloyd, 32, faces imprisonment for a term of life with the possibility of parole after a minimum of five years has been served.

“The attorney general’s office will continue to vigorously prosecute these cases,” said Nevada Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto. “We have an obligation to protect the most vulnerable members of our society.”

According to the attorney general’s office, Lloyd contacted and persuaded the juvenile from Ogden, Utah, to come Las Vegas with the intent of engaging her in prostitution. He accepted and received all of the girls’s proceeds of prostitution activity.

Additionally, Lloyd caused and permitted his 3-year-old daughter to be driven around in his vehicle while transporting the juvenile victim.

The incidents occurred on or about July 26 to Aug. 30.

Lloyd’s sentencing, in front of Clark County District Court Judge Michelle Leavitt, is scheduled for Feb. 6.
