Bonanza's Kris Bryant picked second overall in MLB draft

LAS VEGAS -- Another local baseball talent has become a top draft pick.

Former Bonanza High graduate Kris Bryant was picked in the second round by the Chicago Cubs in this evening's pro baseball draft.

Bryant hit 31 home runs for the University of San Diego this season including two against the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

He follows Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper who was drafted number one overall in 2010.
