LAS VEGAS — The UNLV men’s basketball program received a signed national letter of intent from another top recruit in Goodluck Okonoboh last week, head coach Dave Rice announced Monday.

Okonoboh, a 6-foot-9-inch, 215-pound center from Woburn, Mass., will enroll at UNLV next fall as a freshman.

“Goodluck is a fabulous addition to our program,” Rice said. “He impacts the game on both ends of court. He is a tremendous competitor as well as a high-level rebounder and shot blocker. Goodluck values winning and scores well in transition and in the half court.”

A senior at Wilbraham & Monson Academy, who many believe is the best shot blocker out of any high school player in the country, is rated as the No. 4 center in his class in the ESPN 100 rankings. ESPN also lists him at No. 21 overall, while has him as the No. 32 overall player in the nation. has him ranked as the No. 5 center in the country. He averaged 17 points, 11 rebounds and eight blocks per game last year as a junior.

Okonoboh chose the Rebels over Duke, Florida, Indiana and Ohio State, and joins Dwayne Morgan, who signed with UNLV on Wednesday, as part of its most recent recruiting class.

Morgan, a five-star prospect that has been rated as high as No. 15 overall in the country, is a 6-foot-7-inch, 215-pound senior forward from Baltimore, Md., who attends St. Frances Academy.
