Las Vegas 51s post sixth straight win, 9-5, over the Express

LAS VEGAS -- The Las Vegas 51s defeated the Round Rock Express, 9-5, Tuesday at Cashman Field to tie a season-high with their sixth straight victory.

Las Vegas scored in the second inning on a grand slam to right field by center fielder Anthony Seratelli who went 1-for-2, two walks and 5 RBI.

Las Vegas right-hander Logan Verrett recorded his team-leading 11th victory. He pitched 5 innings and allowed 4 hits, 2 runs, issued no walks and struck out 5 on 60 pitches with 46 strikes.

The 51s, 6-1 on the eight-game homestand, will play its final regular season home game on Wednesday at 7:05 p.m.

Las Vegas will then conclude the 2014 campaign with a four-game series at Albuquerque, N.M., against the Isotopes from Thursday-Monday, August 28 – September 1 (Labor Day).
