Man who helped at accident scene struck in hit-and-run

LAS VEGAS (KSNV – A man was injured this morning when he was struck by a vehicle as he attempted to assist people involved in a two-car accident this morning on U.S. 95.

According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, an accident occurred in the northbound No. 2 lane near Valley View around 4:20 a.m. When the victim got out of his car to check on the occupants of the two vehicles, he was struck by a white Mitsubishi.

That driver fled the scene but was later apprehended and arrested for felony hit-and-run.

The victim, a man in his 40s, was transported to UMC in critical condition.
