LAS VEGAS (KSNV – An arrest has been made in a 2012 homicide outside a convenience store in North Las Vegas.

The Clark County district attorney’s office says Jessie Arrendondo-Mariscal, 31, was booked Thursday for an open murder charge. Arrendondo-Mariscal was arrested in San Diego and waived extradition.

According to a North Las Vegas Police Report, the victim, Daniel Garcia, 27, had exited El Paso Market on Pecos Road, near Owens, around 12:40 a.m. on Aug. 15, 2012. Three people arrived in a gray Chrysler 300, and one of them asked Garcia, “But where are you from?” Garcia replied, “Blythe,” and was shot three times.

Garcia was transported to UMC, where he was pronounced dead.

Arrendondo-Mariscal is scheduled to make a court appearance 8:30 a.m. Monday at the Regional Justice Center.
