Coroner IDs bicyclist killed by suspected DUI driver near South Point Casino

LAS VEGAS (KSNV -- The Clark County coroner has identified the bicyclist killed Friday afternoon when he was hit by a car on Las Vegas Boulevard near South Point Casino.

Las Vegas resident Cesar Augusto Flores, 41, was riding his bicycle near Frias Avenue and the Boulevard when a 36-year-old woman hit him from behind with her Nissan sedan, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.

Flores died at 5 p.m. at University Medical Center Trauma.

The woman, who was suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, was arrested, NHP Trooper Loy Hixson said.
