The Clark County coroner's office has identified a woman found shot to death Thursday evening inside a vehicle in a 7-Eleven store parking lot.
The victim was 23-year-old Las Vegas resident Krystal Star McAdow. She died of a gunshot wound to the chest. The death has been ruled a homicide.
At about 5:50 p.m., Metro's dispatch center received a 911 call regarding a female shot inside of a vehicle in a parking lot on West Sahara Avenue. Officers and medical personnel found a female suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to the UMC Trauma Center, where she was pronounced dead.
The investigation indicated the victim stopped in a parking lot when an unknown man entered her vehicle. As both the victim and man were sitting in the vehicle, a second unknown man drove up in front of the victim's vehicle. The suspect fired a single gunshot through the windshield, striking the victim. The suspect fled the scene, as did the unknown man inside the victim’s vehicle.
The suspect is described as a white or light-skinned black male. He was last seen driving a black four door sedan believed to be a Nissan.
The shooting was the 70th homicide investigated by the Metro this year.
