LAS VEGAS -- The Clark County Fire Department is investigating an overnight incident in which multiple people suffered burns.

Preliminary reports indicate a group of high school students and young adults created a bonfire in the desert about five miles south of Horizon Ridge Parkway near Henderson.

At some point, flammable liquid was added to the fire.

At least seven people with burns were taken to an area hospital in private vehicles.

Local fire departments and ambulance companies were not called to the scene of the bonfire last night.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
