Gang detectives probe shooting that injured 4; second incident reported

​LAS VEGAS -- Metro gang unit detectives are investigating a drive-by shooting in the northeast part of the valley that sent four people to the hospital early Sunday.

None of the injuries were life threatening in the 1:11 a.m. shooting according to Metro Lt. John Liberty.

The shooting took place in the parking lot of an Elk's Lodge near Owens Avenue and H Street. A gunman in a white car fired into a group of people, hitting four people in two cars, he said. Police found 11 shell casings.

In a second incident that was being investigated by gang detectives, several men fired shots into a home on Howard Street and also threw a molotov cocktail into the residence.

Three people inside were not injured.
