Henderson man killed at Palms Casino was an aspiring rapper

LAS VEGAS (KSNV -- A 25-year-old Henderson resident was killed Thursday night in a shooting inside the Playboy Suite at the Palms Casino.

The Clark County coroner said Evan Plunkett died at UMC Trauma Center after the 9:20 p.m. shooting.

Friends knew Plunkett as a Las Vegas rapper who went by "Hollywood Will."

According to Metro police, patrol officers were dispatched to the Palms hotel & casino to investigate a report of a man shot inside of a hotel room. Arriving officers located an adult man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The male was transported to the UMC where he was later pronounced dead.

The investigation, initiated by the Homicide Section, indicates the victim was shot during a verbal and physical altercation involving three other males. The suspects fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival.

No suspects had been arrested as of 3 p.m. Friday.

The shooting is the 47th homicide investigated by Metro this year.
