OSHA investigating deadly fall at MGM conference center

LAS VEGAS -- Occupational Safety & Health Administration is investigating a fatal accident at the MGM Grand Conference Center Tuesday.

According to an MGM release, a employee fell from the third floor of the conference center building and was later pronounced dead.

The accident happened around 1:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Here is the statement from the MGM Grand on incident at MGM Conference Center:

“A tragic accident occurred this afternoon at the MGM Grand Conference Center. A member of the MGM Grand team died after an accident that resulted in a fall from the third floor of the Conference Center building. The identity of the employee involved is being withheld pending notification of family. Circumstances of the incident are being investigated by Las Vegas Metropolitan Police. MGM Grand is cooperating fully with authorities. OSHA has been notified. This is a difficult time and a devastating loss for our entire MGM team. The thoughts of our entire MGM Team are with the family at this difficult time.”
