LAS VEGAS (KSNV & MyNews3) -- Metro police are investigating a shooting involving five people in a vehicle near the intersection of Torrey Pines Drive and Lake Mead Boulevard that happened just after 8 p.m. Monday.
According to the police, the car stopped and all five individuals exited the vehicle. One of the suspects fired a gun at a victim who was struck three to five times in the back.
Metro said the five men were driving northbound on Torrey Pines and made an abrupt u-turn.
Witnesses told police that's when the men got out of the car and one man opened fire on another in the middle of the street. The group took off and left the injured man in the road.
The wounded victim managed to get to a nearby pharmacy where someone called police for help.
The victim was transported to University Medical Center Trauma in critical condition with multiple gun shot wounds. The cause of the shooting is unknown and police has not ruled out gang involvement.
