LAS VEGAS (KSNV & MyNews3) -- The people who can afford the subject of our next story may not need mortgages, but if you want proof the Las Vegas economy is picking up just look at The Strip, or better yet, look up from The Strip.

Strip condo sales are experiencing a revival. News 3's Jeff Gillan is working our top story from Veer Towers at City Center.

One model with a fantastic view is a unit on the 30th floor at Veer and it can be bought for a cool $1.6 million.

If that's a bit too steep for your wallet, how about this two bedroom for just over $900,000?

Realtors say that's significantly higher than 2012, when buyers wanted bargains.

These days, buyers looking for second homes are turning to the strip, and most - 70 percent - are paying cash.

At Veer, studios start at $250,000 with three bedrooms topping out at $1.6 million.

The view is priceless with perks to match.

With no new high rises on the drawing board anytime soon, Realtors expect sales to stay strong, as long as the economy cooperates.
