Coroner releases victims' IDs in Summerlin Parkway crash

LAS VEGAS (KSNV – The Clark County coroner’s office has released the identities of two people killed in a head-on crash Wednesday afternoon on eastbound Summerlin Parkway, near Rampart Boulevard.

Savannah Gonzalez, 20, and her passenger, Frank Anthony Spenia III, 31, both of Las Vegas, were killed when a truck crossed from the westbound lanes into oncoming traffic and hit their vehicle.

Nevada Highway Patrol trooper Loy Hixson says the crash happened around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The truck driver was taken to University Medical Center in critical condition.

Summerlin Parkway was closed for several hours for the investigation.
