LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) -- A suspicious package placed atop a mailbox inside a Las Vegas post office building on Sunday morning turned out to be a box of trash.

Metro's armor unit was called to the U.S. Post Office at Rainbow and Spring Mountain for a suspicious package about 10 a.m., said Metro watch commander Lt. Jack Owen.

Dogs and members of the armor unit took about two hours to determine the package was a box of trash. Metro units left the post office about noon, Owen said.
