LAS VEGAS (KSNV & MyNews3) -- The Las Vegas Strip lost another icon in Kenny Kerr. The female impersonator wowed crowds with his songs and comedy. Kerr died Saturday morning at age 60.

News 3’s Marie Mortera takes a look back at his life and how fans are remembering him.

Kerr was a Las Vegas star for 25 years beginning in the late 1970s. He was a pioneer in Vegas entertainment with his comedy-impressionist stage show “This Is Boy-Lesque” at Gaiety Theater at the old Silver Slipper hotel-casino across the Strip from Desert Inn.

Kenny Kerr is remembered for his laughter and voice. "Guess who I saw today," was one of his favorites songs, according to a post by Darren Q. He was among many of those who posted remembrances on social media sites.

Kerr made his mark with impersonations, especially of Barabra Streisend. According to spokesperson, that's how the so called "Master of Disguise" started -- the New Jersey native was asked to be made over as Streisand and his impersonation career kicked off.

In 1977, he brought his production "Boy-Lesque" to Las Vegas and opened at the Silver Slipper and 25 years later, he was at the Plaza Hotel before going on the road with a CD "Songs from the Heart."

After a stop in Palm Springs, he returned to Las Vegas and recently performed at the Onyx theater. Those close to him say he peacefully passed away Sunday morning at the age of 60.

Those on Kerr's Facebook say his legacy will go on:

Former Las Vegas Mayor Jan Jones recalls he was truly talented and could bring you to tears with laughter. Long time impersonator Frank Marino said in a statement that "Las Vegas has lost a great entertainer and a piece of Las Vegas history. He'll be missed by many."
