One dead after two-vehicle accident in Lake Mead rec area

LAS VEGAS (KSNV – One person is dead this morning and two people were injured after a two-vehicle accident in the Lake Mead National Recreation Area.

Lake Mead NRA spokeswoman Christie Vanover said the accident was called in just after 10:20 a.m. near Nevada State Route 147 (Lake Mead Boulevard) and eastbound Northshore Road.

Emergency crews from the National Park Service and Henderson Fire Department responded to the scene.

One victim, an adult male, was pronounced dead at the scene. Two victims were transported to area hospitals by Merc yAir. Northshore Road at mile marker 2 is expected to be closed for the investigation for the next three to six hours.
