LAS VEGAS (KSNV – The iPad that led to the death of a Bonanza High School freshman has been located, according to Metro officials.

While on an unrelated investigation, officers recovered the device of 15-year-old Marcos Arenas, who was killed May 16 after being run over by a vehicle after refusing to surrender the item.

The two men accused of killing Arenas, meanwhile, found out this morning will stay in jail without bail.

Jacob Dismont, 18, and Michael Solid, 21, are charged with first-degree murder in Arenas’ death.

They were denied bail because of the murder charges, but Judge Diane Sullivan said she would revisit the issue upon written request from defense attorneys.

The state described the two as “lions on the Serengeti” ready to pounce.

The defense countered saying the facts in the preliminary case will tell a different story from what the prosecution is arguing.

Grief-stricken loved ones of the teen who wore shirts bearing his face.

Police say the two targeted arenas in a random act.

A viewing for Arenas was scheduled for 3 to 7 p.m. today at Palm Northwest Mortuary, 6701 N. Jones Blvd. The funeral will be 11:30 a.m. Friday at St. Francis Church, 1111 Michael Way.
