LAS VEGAS (KSNV – Three people have been arrested in connection to a series of robberies targeting gaming areas within grocery and convenience stores throughout the valley, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

Darian Christopher Owens, 25, Tevin Tyree Owens, 21, and Precious Carroll, 24, face charges of robbery with a deadly weapon (firearm); burglary with a deadly weapon (firearm); conspiracy to commit robbery; and conspiracy to commit burglary.

According to a Metro news release, these suspects committed a robbery with a firearm Monday morning at a convenience store on West Craig Road.

Patrol units, the Air unit and Metro detectives were able to locate the suspect vehicle shortly after the robbery. After a short foot pursuit, the suspects were taken into custody.

A stolen firearm used in the robbery, along with money and clothing linking the suspects to previous series related robberies, were recovered at the scene. The suspects' vehicle used was the same one seen on surveillance video from a robbery occurring Aug. 19 on North Jones Boulevard.

A search warrant served where the suspects were staying gleaned additional evidence connecting the suspects to series-related robberies.

Police say the suspects can be tied to 12 robberies.
