Hikers recall victim of Friday fall at Red Rock Canyon

LAS VEGAS (KSNV — The local hiking community continues to mourn the loss of 60-year-old Linda Brock, who was killed Friday after falling 40 feet from a cliff at Red Rock Canyon.

The Clark County coroner's office says she died of blunt force injuries of her torso. Her death was ruled an accident.

Brock's friends say that they cannot believe what happened and that she was an experienced hiker.

A social media posting from brock said one of the greatest places she hiked was the Matterhorn in Switzerland.

A memorial will be held for her June 8 At Red Rock Canyon.
